Responsibilities

→Support unit engineers in completing Process Safety action items, PHA recommendations, DHA recommendations, and associated closure activities.
→Select and execute continuous improvement projects from engineer improvement logs that can be completed during the internship, including troubleshooting issues, collaborating with Operations, updating procedures, and implementing practical solutions.
→Update and verify Process Safety Information (PSI), including Consequences of Deviation, Critical SOPs, and Tank Tables, ensuring information is validated against DCS data.
→Develop and enhance SEEQ trends and dashboards to support daily troubleshooting, monitoring, and operational decision making.
→Troubleshoot critical flow meters and instrumentation by reviewing ranges, verifying DCS configuration, and conducting field investigations with Operations personnel.
→Present project findings, recommendations, and results to the Engineering and Operations teams.

Requirements

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with operators, engineers, and cross-functional teams.
Ability to work independently, coordinate meetings, and drive projects to completion with minimal supervision.
Quick learner with the ability to become proficient in plant software systems such as SEEQ, ShiftConnect, and Dataparc.
Demonstrates urgency, initiative, and a data-driven approach to problem solving.
Strong presentation skills and willingness to spend time in the field learning plant operations and interacting with personnel.
