Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Analyze project documents and specifications to define scope of work
- →Perform material and labor takeoffs with accuracy and efficiency
- →Build detailed estimates including labor, materials, and equipment
- →Review and interpret blueprints and technical documents
- →Collaborate with project managers and preconstruction teams
- →Prepare and submit complete, timely bid proposals
- →Stay current on market pricing, materials, and construction methods
- →Identify risks, gaps, and assumptions within each estimate
- →Support project handoff to ensure a smooth transition to operations
Requirements
~1 min read- Proven experience as an electrical or construction estimator
- Strong proficiency in McCormick estimating software (required)
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Solid understanding of electrical systems and construction methods
- Clear communication and strong teamwork skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organization and time management
- Confident in McCormick and able to lead estimating efforts
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role
- Think critically and bring solutions, not just numbers
- Move with urgency and follow through consistently
