  • Creating and maintaining project assets such as Revit models, Excel files, Word documents, 3D models, and AutoCAD drawings as needed
  • Working with Designers and senior Consultants to deliver best-in-class AV systems and infrastructure drawings, details, specifications, and other construction documents
  • Supporting construction administration by reviewing and responding to submittals and RFI’s, in coordination with the design and construction teams
  • Observing construction and installation for adherence to the design and Kirkegaard’s established best practices
  • Serving as a technical guide and mentor to interns
  • Occasional travel to participate in industry events and conferences, training seminars, company events, or AV systems commissioning.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of three years of experience in live production, AV design, or equivalent industry.
  • Basic knowledge of performance audio and video systems, including live video production and/or video projection and display, networking and control systems, concert audio, signal processing/routing, and performance power distribution
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD is required; proficiency with Autodesk Revit is a plus
  • A curiosity for learning and the ability to quickly grasp and apply new techniques based on that learning
  • General knowledge of AV-related IT services, networking hardware, infrastructure, and system architecture
  • The ability to self-manage time and tasks, work asynchronously with others across time zones, and maintain a positive work/life balance
  • High-level thinking and visualization skills with an orientation for design and creative problem-solving
  • Experience with construction techniques and materials is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex issues and problems with clarity
  • A flexible, collaborative approach to work, within the firm and with design team members
  • A current US-based driver’s license and the ability to travel domestically
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred
  • Eastern or Central time zone-based is preferred
