Quality Engineer II

The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring consistent application of quality techniques, providing statistical information for quality improvement, and investigating, analyzing, and resolving quality problems.

• →Provide statistical analysis of process behavior through the use of applicable statistics, quality tools, and software.
• →Identify and record problems relating to the product lines, and initiate actions to prevent the recurrence of any nonconformities relating to products and processes.
• →Assist in the evaluation and qualification of new product designs and new supplier materials via a defined new product development process.
• →Monitor and support site quality objectives by maintaining metrics and reporting them on a monthly basis.
• →Lead yield improvement projects in an effort to increase facility capability to consistently meet Knowles and customer requirements.
• →Participate in documentation and drawing review, approval, revision, or creation as necessary to ensure processes are properly documented.
• →Assist in rapid cycle times for site-related customer complaints.
• →Work directly with operational departments on continuous process improvements

The salary range for this role is $78,000 - $105,000 annually

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience working in a factory certified to TS/IATF16949, AS9100, or ISO 9001.
• Experience with various quality system improvement tools, including 8D, Lean Six Sigma, 5 Whys, Pareto Analysis, FEMA Kaizen, Cpk, etc.
• Minimum 2 years of Quality related experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Works well in a high-volume production environment with minimal supervision.
• Experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Minitab, and ERP/MRP systems.
• Ability to travel to suppliers, customers, or corporate meetings (<5% of the time).
• All applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. without restriction to ITAR documentation and materials.
• Must be a U.S. citizen. Application for Security Clearance optional upon hire.
