Electrical Design Engineer

• →Designing the electrical control system for bespoke robotic systems.
• →This will include single phase and three phase power circuits, DC power circuits, servo and stepper motors, IO devices, sensors, and safety circuits.
• →Understanding, interpreting and wiring from electrical drawings.
• →Involvement in machine safety risk assessments and determining functional safety requirements
• →Communicating project status, issues and requirements with project leaders and senior staff.
• →Be familiar with EU and ISO standards, directives, and legislation relevant to Labman systems.
• →Participate in the full life cycle of engineering projects, including installation worldwide if necessary.

• Minimum of HNC Level 4 in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
• 3+ years of relevant experience
• Experience with SEE Electrical or another electrical drawing package to produce IEC electrical drawings
• Able to understand and interpret component datasheets
• Good communication skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Able to manage own time effectively and manage task lists
• Attention to detail

• Fault-finding skills including use of diagnostic equipment
• Experience with industrial fieldbuses
• Knowledge of functional safety and relevant standards, ideally ISO 13849
