CAD Drafter

We're looking for a skilled, detail oriented CAD Drafter to turn engineering concepts into clear, accurate drawings that our client's manufacturing team can build from with confidence. You'll work in SolidWorks 2026 daily, with a strong focus on sheet metal design, producing documentation that keeps designs precise, consistent, and ready for production. This is a role for someone who takes initiative, communicates with confidence, and takes real pride in getting the details right, collaborating daily with a US based engineering team.

• →CAD Drafting & Design: Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models in SolidWorks 2026 for new components, assemblies, and product revisions.
• →Sheet Metal Design: Design and detail sheet metal parts and assemblies, applying sound fabrication principles such as bend allowances, flat pattern development, and material thickness considerations.
• →Drawing Standards & Documentation: Produce clean, fully dimensioned drawing packages with correct tolerances, notes, and metric units, following the company's drafting standards.
• →Metric Compliance & Quality Checks: Review your own drawings for accuracy before submission, confirming all dimensions and callouts are correctly expressed in the metric system.
• →Bill of Materials & Revision Control: Maintain accurate bills of materials and update drawings promptly in response to engineering change requests.
• →Cross Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the US based engineering team to clarify design intent, resolve open questions, and keep projects moving on schedule.

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Drafting, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands on experience.
• Proven experience working in SolidWorks 2026 (or a recent version), with strong core drafting skills.
• Experience with sheet metal design is preferred.
• Solid understanding of the metric system and the ability to check and confirm drawings are dimensioned correctly.
• Strong attention to detail and a habit of catching errors before they leave your desk.
• A self starter who takes initiative and follows through with minimal supervision.
• A confident communicator who is comfortable discussing your work and reasoning through design questions with the team. A moderately outgoing personality is welcome, and nervousness about presenting or defending your work is not a good fit here.
• Clear written and verbal English communication skills for daily collaboration with a US based team.
• US work experience is not required. This role is open to skilled drafters regardless of where their prior experience comes from.
• A reliable internet connection and a dedicated home workspace.
