We are looking for a Reinsurance Operations Specialist to join our dynamic and growing  Operations Team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering exceptional operational  support to our Reinsurance Brokers and internal teams, including Data, Finance, and Claims. This  role supports the end-to-end operational workflow, from contract setup and data processing to  settlement tracking and client service delivery. You'll gain deep exposure to a variety of  reinsurance contracts and have the opportunity to streamline processes that enhance both  operational efficiency and client satisfaction.

About the Role

Analyze and interpret reinsurance contract terms to ensure clarity and compliance. 

Enter, update, and validate contract information in the company’s system, ensuring accuracy and  timely completion. 

Maintain comprehensive contract records and status updates throughout the contract lifecycle,  adhering to established best practices and internal guidelines. 

Ensure accurate and consistent data labeling, while maintaining a clear audit trail for all risk data  entered into systems. 

Check claim coverage, treaty/risk limits and process/book relevant data in cooperation with  Technical Accounting and Claims Team assuring accuracy and integrity of the technical bookings.  

Verify and process claim settlement requests and general claim related administrative requests  from cedents.

Identify and investigate data discrepancies or account issues, collaborating with internal teams  and business partners to resolve them effectively. 

Conduct regular data reviews and updates based on quality control reports and internal  standards. 

Manage, extract, review, and cleanse data from multiple sources and repositories to support  business accuracy and decision-making. 

Provide general risk administration support to Ledgebrook Reinsurance Brokers and business  partners, including ad hoc data analysis and report generation. 

Deliver prompt, confident responses to internal inquiries, backed by accurate and reliable  information. 

Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of internal processes, placement  documentation, and technical delivery standards. 

Improve efficiency, ensure compliance, and implement operational or regulatory changes in all  processes.


Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. 
  • Proven experience in the insurance industry, with a minimum of 3 years in reinsurance. Deep understanding of reinsurance structures and terminology (especially brokered placements). 
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements (sanctions, reporting  obligations). 
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with exceptional attention to detail. 
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and maintain high  productivity. 
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving start-up environment. Open-minded and solutions-oriented, with a focus on delivering best-in-class service.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative team player. 
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Customer-centric mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace applications. 
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. 


Additional Assets 

  • Previous experience working in a start-up environment. 
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business, or a related field. 
  • Familiarity with broker-specific systems such as: Brokasure Enterprise, Xchanging (IMR/ECF),  Global Reinsurance Platform (GRP), DXC, OpenTWINS, SICS, or Sequel. 
  • Understanding and knowledge of best practices and current trends in reinsurance. Project management and process design experience. 
  • Familiarity with American regulations i.e. NAICS, Texas Department of Insurance or Oklahoma  Insurance Department. 
  • Experience with various sanctions lists (OFAC, FCDO or UNSOL). 
  • Familiarity with S&P or AM Best platforms. 
  • Experience with Slack, Monday, Workday, Claude AI, Front, Miro, Google Meet, Zoom. Holding internationally recognized (Re)Insurance certifications.

The base salary range for this position is 12,950 - 16,250 PLN gross/month. This is a good-faith compensation range based on what Ledgebrook reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of this posting. Actual compensation may vary based on a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location.
Employees in this position are eligible to participate in Ledgebrook’s equity incentive program.
