A CDL Hazmat Driver ensures that time sensitive products are delivered on time and in the proper condition. This person will be responsible for loads products onto vans before delivering orders to customers on predetermined routes. Except in the case of extenuating circumstances, drivers will always adhere exactly to the route and deliver each order on time and with a high level of professionalism.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Comply with ICC and FMSCA regulations daily.
- →Transport freight from distribution to delivery site without error.
- →Maintaining a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- →Completes Hazardous Material shipping orders papers in accordance with DOT/TC Regulations.
- →Perform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip.
- →Load and unload freight to and from vehicle using safety perimeters that are put into place.
- →Securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle.
- →Follow delivery schedule and rest at appropriate times.
- →Responsible for counting and recording quantities and styles of product delivered and picked up to ensure accurate paperwork for customer transactions.
- →Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/road conditions.
- →Provide a high standard of customer service while delivering goods to customers.
- →Other responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Monday: 7:00AM - 6:00PM
- Tuesday: 7:00AM - 6:00PM
- Wednesday: 9:00AM - 6:00PM
- Thursday: 9:00AM - 6:00PM
- Friday: OFF
- Saturday: OFF
- Sunday: 7:00AM - 12:00PM
Compensation:
$22.00–$26.00 per hour, with starting pay determined by the candidate’s CDL classification, applicable endorsements, and relevant driving experience.
Requirements
- Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Use handheld device for routing information and customer delivery information
- Ability to lift up to 55 pounds.
- Possible exposure to extreme hot and cold weather elements when outside or driving.
- Ability to walk, drive, lift, and carry heavy items for extended periods.
- Travel up to 20% if needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid DOT medical card.
- Has CDL Class C with Hazmat endorsement with no more than 2 moving violations or at-fault accidents in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a DOT drug test to meet FMSCA requirements.
- May be required to have an airbrake endorsement depending on geographical locations to meet customer's expectations.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without any type of work authorization or work sponsorship now or in the future.
