Director, Transactions Management

The Director, Transactions Management is responsible for leading the team that manages transaction execution, due diligence coordination, and asset onboarding/offboarding activities in support of acquisitions, dispositions, and financing transactions across Link's national portfolio.

This leader serves as the operational owner of the transaction process from deal approval through closing and post-close integration. The role is responsible for ensuring transactions are executed efficiently, risks are appropriately identified and escalated, and cross-functional stakeholders remain aligned throughout the transaction lifecycle.

The ideal candidate brings deep commercial real estate transaction experience, strong organizational and risk-management skills, and a proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams in a fast-paced, transaction-driven environment.

• Lead acquisition, disposition, and financing transactions from deal approval through closing and post-close onboarding/offboarding.
• Oversee transaction workflows, due diligence, documentation, approvals, milestones, and governance standards to ensure timely, accurate execution.
• Serve as the escalation point for complex issues, closing risks, and cross-functional challenges.
• Drive process improvements, technology-enabled workflows, automation, and AI-based solutions that increase efficiency, scalability, and accuracy

• Oversee diligence coordination across title, survey, environmental, property condition, lease, zoning, insurance, financing, and closing requirements.
• Strengthen processes and controls that improve risk mitigation, transaction consistency, and portfolio governance.

• Partner with Investments, Capital Markets, Legal, Operations, Integrated Services, and other stakeholders to evaluate findings, mitigate risks, and coordinate seamless onboarding/offboarding and refinancing activities.
• Advise senior leadership on deal status, execution risks, operational readiness, resourcing, and priorities.

• Lead, develop, and retain a high-performing transactions team with clear goals, expectations, accountability, and development opportunities.
• Delegate work based on transaction complexity, workload capacity, and development needs while building team capability for future growth.
• Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the Transactions Management function.

• Bachelor's degree highly preferred; advanced degree or relevant professional designation a plus
• 10+ years of commercial real estate transaction experience, including acquisitions, dispositions, and/or debt financing transactions.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing transaction, due diligence, or real estate operations teams.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex transaction workflows from due diligence through closing, with strong understanding of key transaction documents, including purchase and sale agreements, loan documents, title and survey materials, environmental reports, property condition assessments, leases, and closing documentation.
• Experience coordinating large, multi-disciplinary transaction teams across legal, investment, finance, capital markets, and operational functions.
• Strong risk management, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and executive presence, with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
• Experience leveraging technology and automation to improve transaction execution and operational efficiency; building scalable processes, controls, operational, and governance frameworks within a high-volume transaction environment.
• Proven ability to develop teams while navigating high transaction volume and competing priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required; experience with Yardi, Dealpath, Argus, or other real estate transaction management platforms preferred.
