Our Skopje office is one of our largest hubs, 100+ Lokals strong and growing toward 130+. As Senior HX Ops, you won't just execute HR processes, you'll own how they work, where they break and how to make them more reliable as the team scales. This is a hands-on, full-ownership role for someone who wants to build systems, not just run through checklists.
You'll be the person who makes sure every Lokal in MK has a smooth onboarding, understands their benefits, knows the policies that apply to them and works in an office that genuinely runs well. You'll be in the building every day, present and approachable, and one of the key pillars of what makes the MK office a place people want to be. We're looking for a trusted partner who understands what people actually need and can explain trade-offs clearly when the answer isn't simple.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Own pre-onboarding logistics and day-one readiness: equipment, system access, contracts.
- Run the offboarding process end to end: documentation, equipment returns, access removal and compliance with local legal requirements.
- Ensure the MK office operates in full compliance with North Macedonian employment law, workplace health and safety legislation and labor regulations, managing contracts, annexes and documentation accordingly.
- Own compliance with Loka's internal policies for the MK team, not just applying the rules but making sure people understand them and flagging gaps between policy and reality.
- Spot compliance risks before they escalate and resolve them directly or route them to the right person.
- Contribute to policy evolution based on what you see in day-to-day MK operations.
What We Offer
~1 min read- Manage employment contracts for the MK team and own the full contract lifecycle for changes.
- Maintain an auditable record of all contractual documentation.
- Coordinate L&D logistics for the MK office: training schedules, vendor bookings, attendance tracking and communication to employees and managers.
- Track learning spend and flag budget implications, making sure L&D commitments are followed through.
- Run the Skopje office day to day: space, supplies, equipment logistics, vendor relationships, facilities and invoices.
- Own the culture and environment of the office, staying present, approachable and proactive about making it a place people want to be.
- Design office management processes that are auditable and scale with the team.
- Be the on-the-ground contact for office incidents (maintenance, access, safety) and resolve them with autonomy.
- Manage travel logistics for MK-based employees: flights, accommodation, expenses and policy compliance.
- Own in-office event logistics, from team celebrations to external visitor coordination: space, catering, vendor bookings and setup.
Requirements
~1 min read- 4+ years of experience in HR Operations, People Ops or an equivalent operational HR role with end-to-end ownership.
- Demonstrated experience across several core domains: onboarding/offboarding, compliance, benefits, contracts and office or facilities management.
- Experience operating in service-oriented environments where prioritization, response time and impact assessment are part of daily decision-making.
- Familiarity with local labor law and employment compliance, or a demonstrated ability to own this area with appropriate legal support.
- Ability to think at a systems level: designing processes for where the team is going, not just where it is today.
- Strong differentiators: experience in a remote-first, multinational or tech/consulting environment, and a track record of designing or improving operational processes.
- Based in, or able to commute daily to, Skopje, North Macedonia. This is a full-time, in-office role five days a week, except for local holidays and global company days off.
- Professional fluency in English. We work entirely in English for meetings, documentation and global coordination.
- CV written in English.
