Internship Design Engineering

At Manometric, we’re transforming orthoses and prosthetics from medical necessities into products people actually want to wear. That requires smart technology and thoughtful design. From our proprietary 3D scanners to radically new brace concepts - everything starts with a strong idea - and an even better execution.

As an intern within Manomeric you’ll be part of the team developing our orthosis and scanner portfolio. Together with engineers, software developers and external partners, you’ll work on products that directly impact people’s lives. You’ll have access to cutting-edge 3D technology and the freedom to rapidly prototype, test, and bring ideas into production.

You have a broad skillset from concept development to engineering and production. You are hands-on: you are not afraid to get your hands dirty and know your way around the workshop. You’ll work closely with experienced industrial designers and you will have the opportunity to learn from them on all levels of product development.

  Design (parts of) medical products from start to finish: from initial idea to production-ready in close collaboration with senior members of the team.

• →

  Think conceptually, prototype, test, and improve based on user insights.

• →

  Take ownership of projects, making a real impact on peoples lives.

• →

  Collaborate with our internal healthcare team and get in contact with our patients to test your assumptions quickly.

  Work with and develop your skills with tools such as Rhino, Fusion360, Figma, Adobe and Keyshot or equivalent.

We’re looking for someone that is up for a challenge, and:

• Has a strong skillset from concept (e.g. visualization and problem-solving) to engineering (e.g. 3D-modelling and prototyping), which is demonstrated by a solid portfolio.

• Is curious, eager to learn, and not afraid to get hands-on.

• Combines conceptual thinking with technical execution and loves making ideas real

• Thrives in collaboration but knows how to navigate independently when needed.

• Speaks fluent English — Dutch is a bonus.

• Has a strong eye for design aesthetics.
