Reporting to the Technology Centre of Excellence Manager, you will lead the Quality Engineering and Assurance capability. Owning the framework, standards and operating model, you will be accountable for ensuring technology quality is effectively governed within a regulated financial-services environment and for driving the transition from manual, downstream QA to an automation-first, continuous and AI-augmented model.

Owning the risk-based, proportionate and auditable Quality Engineering framework, you will define the mandatory testing, traceability, segregation of duties, automated quality gates, evidence and assurance requirements necessary to meet regulatory, SOX, audit, risk and internal control obligations. Delivery squads remain accountable for the quality of the technology they deliver and responsible for test execution, while you will ensure the enterprise framework is effective, consistently adopted and provides appropriate independent assurance and challenge.

Setting and governing engineering standards, tooling and reusable testing patterns, you will enable squads to meet quality requirements efficiently and consistently. This includes increasing automation across testing and evidence generation, embedding quality controls into CI/CD and driving adoption of AI and agentic capabilities, with appropriate human-in-the-loop controls, traceability and governance. Using quality, control and delivery data, you will identify systemic weaknesses and drive corrective action to continuously improve the effectiveness of Quality Engineering across technology delivery.
