Description:

We are seeking an experienced Lab Operations Manager to join Mariana’s Operations team within the G&A organization.

Illustrative Breadth of Responsibilities:

• Responsible for overseeing daily lab operations at 100 Forge Rd site, including:
  • General lab management including maintaining cleanliness of lab
  • Lab consumables management including setting up point of use areas, reviewing, stocking and purchasing
  • Manage temperature-controlled storage, including monitoring and alert system and alert responses.
  • Manage vendors and lab services including lab gasses, instrument service, vivarium services, lab coats, dosimetry badges, etc. including negotiating pricing and tracking spend
  • Manage lab equipment end-to-end lifecycle, including partnering with finance on procurement, manage equipment installation, maintain asset databases and tagging, repairs and preventative maintenance
  • Coordinate lab IT requirements including new equipment setup and researcher requests
  • Oversight of lab support vendor
  • Manage procurement and distribution of laboratory gasses
  • Work with researchers to respond to lab questions and concerns efficiently and effectively
• Responsible for facility upkeep and management in collaboration with Office Manager to ensure smooth facility operation, including:
  • Responsible for general lab-facing facility maintenance including house systems, scheduling repair as needed, selecting appropriate vendors, etc.
  • Oversee lap shipping and receiving
  • Source and manage vendors for miscellaneous work such as hanging coat hooks, etc.
• Responsible for laboratory safety including:
  • Uphold safety standards and working with safety consultants to ensure appropriate training and compliance of lab staff
  • Maintenance of safety standards in the lab
  • Interface with onsite HSE to ensure lab safety concerns are addressed collaboratively, appropriately and efficiently
• Responsible for overseeing Research Compound Management service
  • Management of contract personnel developing processes and providing compound inventory and fulfillment services
  • Ensure appropriate procedures are implemented and maintained in conjunction with compound manager and research team members
• Involvement in other lab facing projects as interest and time permit including Electronic Lab Notebook management, lab data management, etc.

Requirements/Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline
• 5-7+ years’ experience in operations within a lab setting
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT)
• Strong organizational skills
• Detail oriented
• Ability to work independently and drive projects forward
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Ability to solve problems in creative and effective ways
• Ability to interface with a variety of stakeholders (researchers, management, etc.) to reach consensus for solving issues that arise

Mariana Oncology Compensation Summary:

The salary for this position is expected to range between $73,500 and $136,500 per year. Your compensation will also include a performance-based cash incentive.

The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and will be reviewed periodically upon joining Mariana Oncology. Mariana may change the published salary range based on company and market factors.
