We are seeking an accomplished and commercially driven General Manager to lead Qabila Westbay Hotel, Autograph Collection, a distinctive luxury lifestyle hotel located in the heart of Doha's prestigious West Bay district. The ideal candidate will be an experienced hotel leader with a minimum of 5 years' General Manager experience within full-service upscale or luxury hotels and a strong background in either Operations or Sales & Marketing.
This role requires a dynamic leader who can inspire high-performing teams, deliver exceptional guest experiences, drive commercial success, and build strong relationships with ownership, associates, guests, and key stakeholders. Previous Middle East experience is desirable but not essential; however, the successful candidate must demonstrate adaptability, cultural awareness, and the ability to thrive in a complex international hospitality environment.
About the HotelQabila Westbay Hotel, Autograph Collection is a premium lifestyle destination located on Doha's iconic Corniche within the city's vibrant West Bay business and diplomatic district. The hotel offers convenient access to City Center Doha, the Doha Exhibition & Convention Center (DECC), Katara Cultural Village, The Pearl-Qatar, and Hamad International Airport.
Part of Marriott International's prestigious Autograph Collection, the hotel features approximately 347 guestrooms and suites, multiple dining venues, meeting and event facilities, wellness amenities, an indoor swimming pool, fitness facilities, and panoramic views of the Doha skyline and Arabian Gulf. The property caters to a diverse mix of corporate, leisure, diplomatic, and long-stay guests, making it one of Doha's most prominent hospitality destinations.
- Minimum 5+ years of successful General Manager experience within an upscale, premium, or luxury hotel environment.
- Strong background in either:
- Hotel Operations, or
- Sales & Marketing / Commercial Leadership.
- Experience managing complex full-service hotels with multiple revenue streams.
- Demonstrated success in delivering financial results, market share growth, and guest satisfaction.
- Experience leading large teams and developing future leaders.
- Marriott International experience strongly preferred.
- Previous experience within a luxury or lifestyle brand preferred.
- Middle East hospitality experience desirable but not required.
- Experience working with international ownership groups and asset managers is advantageous.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen.

- Lead by example, creating accountability and operational excellence across all departments.
- Deliver budgeted revenue, GOP, EBITDA, and market share objectives.
- Drive sustainable revenue growth across Rooms, Food & Beverage, Meetings & Events, and ancillary revenue streams.
- Develop and execute annual business plans, forecasts, and strategic initiatives.
- Maximize profitability through effective cost management and operational efficiency.
- Analyze market trends and competitive positioning to identify opportunities for growth.
- Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, and Distribution teams to maximize commercial performance.
- Strengthen the hotel's positioning within Doha's luxury and lifestyle hospitality market.
- Drive market penetration across corporate, government, diplomatic, leisure, MICE, and international travel segments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, industry partners, and tourism stakeholders.
- Ensure effective revenue optimization and demand generation strategies are in place.
- Oversee all operational departments including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Engineering, Finance, Human Resources, and Sales.
- Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional guest experiences and luxury service standards.
- Maintain compliance with Marriott brand standards, operational procedures, and safety requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, and guest satisfaction.
- Promote innovation and service excellence throughout the hotel.
- Create memorable experiences consistent with the Autograph Collection promise of delivering unique, character-rich stays.
- Monitor guest satisfaction metrics and online reputation performance.
- Actively engage with guests, VIPs, loyalty members, and key stakeholders.
- Resolve guest concerns professionally while maintaining service recovery excellence.
- Maintain a strong and transparent partnership with ownership representatives.
- Deliver regular business reviews and performance updates.
- Ensure alignment between ownership expectations and Marriott operating standards.
- Represent the hotel within the local community and hospitality industry.
