Junior Mechanical Engineer

Maybell Quantum is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to develop and design the next generation in quantum infrastructure. This person excels in a fast-paced, hardware-based startup environment. They possess excellent technical and analytical skills and can effectively manage small projects while collaborating across departments.

• →Determine technical specifications for sub-systems and components to meet overall product development requirements
• →Collaborate across teams and departments to determine root cause of issues, identify corrective actions, and implement design changes to improve existing products and processes
• →Create complex mechanical designs, drawings and documentation for parts and assemblies following DFX principles to develop the most efficient and high-quality products.
• →Drive sub-system development and sustaining activities including project and resource planning, gathering of documentation and requirements, and execution of ECOs.
• →Work closely with manufacturing and operations to ensure a smooth transition from concept to a fully scalable high-quality product

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or similar field.
• 1-3 years working experience in mechanical design
• A proven track record of bringing mechanical concepts to reality

• Experience in Ansys or equivalent analysis software
• Working knowledge of the ASME Y14.5 dimensioning and tolerancing standard
• Experience working with product safety standards (NRTL and CE)
• Strong hands-on experience building prototypes, test apparatus, and fixtures.
• Machine shop and fabrication skills
