Nature of Work
The fundamental\r\nreason that this classification exists is to assist in the maintenance of an\r\ninventory of various stored materials. The primary work responsibilities of\r\nthis classification include: receiving items for inventory, maintaining the\r\nitems in storage, issuing and releasing items, and performing other related\r\nduties. The supervisors of these employees vary by assigned location. \r\n�\r\n
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED certificate and six (6) months of\r\nexperience in warehouse operations such as receiving, issuing, and storing\r\nmaterials.\r\n�\r\nNOTE:� Qualifying\r\neducation, training and experience that provide the requisite knowledge, skills,\r\nand abilities to perform the job will be considered.\r\n
Special Requirements
Must have or obtain a valid and current Alabama\r\ndriver's license in order to drive vehicles for the delivery or pick-up of\r\nitems.�\r\n

Receives\r\nitems such as office supplies, equipment, and evidence using computers and forms following\r\ndepartmental policies and procedures in order to maintain an inventory\r\nMaintains\r\nitems in inventory using\r\ncomputers and forms following departmental policies and procedures in order to\r\nensure adequate access to inventory.\r\nIssues/Releases materials\r\nin inventory using computers\r\nand forms following departmental policies and procedures in order to assist\r\ncustomers and purge unused or unneeded inventory.\r\nPerforms\r\nothers duties to include housekeeping duties and routine vehicle maintenance\r\nfollowing departmental policies and\r\nprocedures in order to provide safe work environment and support and contribute\r\nto the overall department objectives. \r\n�\r\n
