Bookkeeper

The part-time Bookkeeper will support the day-to-day accounting operations of the Canarsie JCC. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, preparing relevant reports, and supporting grant tracking.

• →Record and categorize financial transactions in the accounting system (currently MIP).
• →Reconcile bank, credit card, and vendor statements.
• →Track and report grant-related expenses, ensuring proper coding to funding sources.
• →Assist with grant invoicing and reimbursement submissions, as applicable.
• →Maintain well-organized documentation for all transactions.
• →Prepare any relevant financial reports as requested.
• →Additional responsibilities as required.

• High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential financial information.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Clear communication and documentation skills.

• Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of bookkeeping or government/grant accounting experience (required).
• Proficiency with MIP or Sage Intacct or similar accounting software.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite and Excel.

Compensation: $25/hr
