The Senior PM independently manages complex, multi-phase projects that may span both Engineering and Cabling solution groups, or technically specialized projects end-to-end. The Senior PM applies professional project management principles, practices, and techniques to lead project teams and control schedule, cost, and scope, while serving as the primary client relationship owner on assigned projects. This role monitors risk and issues to ensure client satisfaction and company profitability, and mentors Project Managers and Project Coordinators in the pool.

The Senior PM works closely with field Superintendents and subcontractors on cabling and low-voltage scope where applicable, coordinates services across departments, and may support workstreams under a Principal PM on large, multi-project accounts.

May be assigned first-level supervisory or mentoring responsibilities for Project Managers and Project Coordinators, regionally or team-wide; no formal direct reports.

  • Independently manage complex, multi-phase projects across Engineering and Cabling solution groups, or technically specialized projects end-to-end.
  • Serve as the primary client relationship owner on assigned projects.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans using TSG tools and methodologies, defining scope, objectives, schedules, milestones, and risks.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the scope for specific trades assigned and TSG's responsibilities regarding low-voltage systems and IT resources where applicable.
  • Manage scope, schedule, budget, change orders, and risk across the full project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate across sales, engineering, and installation/cabling teams to secure resources and ensure alignment.
  • Lead project governance meetings, generating agendas, minutes, and follow-ups.
  • Work directly with field Superintendents and subcontractors to ensure timelines are met and communicate schedule changes to all relevant parties.
  • Maintain and track project schedules using TSG's PMO processes and tools (Certinia, MS Project, Smartsheet), ensuring timely execution and issue resolution.
  • Manage internal and external communications across all stakeholder levels; identify, document, and communicate project risks as they arise.
  • Prepare, monitor, and manage project budgets, equipment inventories, and vendor/subcontractor relationships.
  • Track project percent-complete and prepare progress or milestone billing per the statement of work.
  • Coordinate material logistics, including procurement and chain-of-custody procedures.
  • Perform quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle, including final inspection and punch list.
  • Coordinate project closeout documentation (as-built drawings, O&Ms, test reports, warranty) and secure project sign-off.
  • Evaluate and document lessons learned post-project to improve future performance.
  • Mentor Project Managers and Project Coordinators; support workstreams under a Principal PM on large multi-project accounts.
  • Assist PMO leadership in establishing, perfecting, and monitoring the efficiency of team processes and best practices.
  • Sustains billable utilization at or above 80% on a trailing 90-day basis while managing complex, multi-phase project scope.
  • Does whatever it takes to ensure projects are successful and profitable, including work beyond what is specifically outlined when required.
  • Double-checks all critical work deliverables to minimize mistakes; continuously contributes to process improvements.
  • Develops creative, win-win solutions to problems and identifies ways to deliver additional profit where possible.
  • Completes all activities with a strong sense of ownership; demonstrates adherence to and performance in line with company goals.
  • Actively participates in company-wide events, meetings, and social activities.

Project Coordinator → Project Manager → Senior PM → Program Manager. Each step adds complexity of scope, scale of account, and depth of independent client relationship ownership.
