As a Design Engineer at Mindtickle, you are someone who moves fluently between design and code, brings design intent to life with precision, and raises the bar for what "shipped" looks like. You'll co-own our design system in code, prototype ideas before they're fully specced, and be the connective tissue between design thinking and production reality.

8–10+ years working at the intersection of design and frontend engineering. Your portfolio must show both sides of the craft.
Production-level proficiency in React, TypeScript, and CSS. You can write code that ships, but you can also whip up a quick experiment or demo.
Deep Figma fluency: component architecture, variables, auto-layout, Dev Mode. The whole thing.
Hands-on experience building and maintaining a design system in a product company
Strong command of motion, micro-interactions, and visual polish. You notice things others miss and know how to add delight to experiences.
Comfortable using AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, v0…) as part of your everyday workflow
Solid understanding of accessibility (WCAG), responsive/mobile design, and performance tradeoffs
You are a UI artist who thinks like a designer and builds like an engineer
Clear communicator who can articulate design and technical tradeoffs to various audiences
Design-first environment where you sit within the design team, where craft is taken seriously
Real ownership of the design system end-to-end, with influence over how design and engineering collaborate
AI-native culture with space to experiment and shape how we use these tools well.
