Delivery Driver

We’re looking for a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our dynamic team and play a vital role in bringing our delicious food and exceptional service to our customers’ doorsteps. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for loading and transporting food, setting up deliveries with care and professionalism, and occasionally assisting with event setups.

From corporate drop-offs to special events, you’ll represent Mise en Place with ensuring timely, accurate, and friendly deliveries island-wide.


Responsibilities:

Customer Deliveries

• Load, transport, and deliver goods to customers and clients on assigned routes.
• Follow scheduled routes and timeframes, adapting to changes as needed.
• Ensure all goods are checked against invoices for accuracy before departure and upon delivery and meet presentation standards.
• Safely and promptly deliver products customers across Grand Cayman.
• Handle products with care to prevent damage or spoilage.
• Verify delivery information and obtain customer signatures where required.
• Proactively communicate with the team regarding orders, delays, feedback, or issues during deliveries.
• Provide friendly, professional, and timely service at the customer’s location, making every delivery a positive experience.
• Report any delivery-related incidents or customer complaints promptly and professionally.
• Handle payments, invoices, and receipts accurately, following company procedures for cash and card transactions.
• May have to set up food stations and buffets and help remove and break down.
• Collection of waste products.

Hygiene and safety

• Comply with traffic laws and safety regulations at all times.
• Inspect and maintain delivery vehicle to ensure roadworthiness and cleanliness.
• Ensure the delivery vehicle is cleaned regularly, both inside and out, to uphold hygiene and brand standards.
• Follow all food hygiene, health & safety, and sanitation procedures throughout the delivery process.
• Consistently meet appearance and grooming standards as outlined in company policies.
Warehouse Assistance
• Unload incoming shipments, check for accuracy and quality, and report any discrepancies or damaged goods.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and tidy working environment in compliance with health and safety standards.
• Support the loading of delivery vehicles and occasionally assist with deliveries when required.

Qualifications and Skills Required:
• Proven experience as a delivery driver.
• Clean driving record with strong road safety awareness and knowledge of Grand Cayman roads.
• Experience driving vans, light commercial vehicles and trucks.
• Fluent in English, with strong communication and customer service skills.
• Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Capable of following instructions and thriving in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
• Reliable team player with strong collaboration skills and positive attitude.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Able to work holidays and weekends.
• Able to lift and carry items weighing 50lbs pounds frequently.
• Comfortable working in both warm and cool environments and reach, bend and carry.
Other Requirements:
• Valid Cayman Islands Driver’s License – 4.
• Clear Police Clearance Report.
• Food Handling Certificate.
