The Delivery, Warehouse & Events Person plays a key role in supporting Mise en Place operations across multiple departments. This position assists with deliveries, warehouse organisation, equipment inventory management, and event setup. The role requires flexibility, reliability, and strong teamwork to ensure smooth operations across all entities, including events and corporate catering.
Responsibilities
Warehouse & Logistics
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment at all times.
- Load, unload, and transport items between Mise en Place departments and customers as required.
- Conduct daily inventory checks and verify that orders are accurate before delivery.
- Monitor and manage the availability of beverages, including liquor and soft drinks, when required.
- Handle and store company products carefully to prevent damage or loss.
- Assist with general warehouse operations, including labelling, packing, and order staging.
Deliveries & Transportation
- Safely operated companies deliver vehicles to transport products and equipment to designated locations.
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of orders across all Mise en Place entities.
- Complete delivery records and maintain accurate documentation for all transactions.
- Report any vehicle, route, or delivery-related issues to the Warehouse Supervisor or Events Manager promptly.
- Comply with all company safety policies and road regulations.
Event Setup & Support
- Assist with loading and offloading vehicles before and after events.
- Set up and break down bars, food stations, buffets, and event décor according to Mise en Place standards.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization during events.
- Support bartending or front-of-house service at events as needed, including handling cash and card transactions and balancing the register at the end of shifts.
- Participate in daily and monthly inventory checks of event equipment and ensure all items are stored properly after use.
- Collect and return event rental items, clearly label them, and report any damage or missing pieces to the Event Captain.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Follow all Department of Environmental Health (DEH) and company hygiene and sanitation requirements.
- Participate in regular training on food handling, safety, and event procedures.
- Always maintain professional grooming and uniform standards.
- Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures while on duty.
Key Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in deliveries, warehouse operations, or event setup.
- Valid Cayman Islands Group 3 Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Clear Police Clearance Report (no convictions).
- Valid Food Handling Certificate.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Strong organisational, multitasking, and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Good basic numeracy and record-keeping skills.
- Physically fit; able to lift up to 50 kg unassisted and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable, flexible, and willing to assist in multiple areas as needed.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
