Project Manager/Estimator - Plumbing Construction

Monona Plumbing & Fire Protection is looking for an experienced construction Project Manager/Estimator to join our Plumbing Construction team in Madison, WI!

We're looking for someone with solid construction project management experience who can take responsibility for projects from preconstruction through closeout. Commercial plumbing or MEP experience is strongly preferred, but we're also interested in experienced construction PMs who have the project management foundation and drive to learn the technical side of our business.

As a Project Manager/Estimator, you'll own the successful execution of commercial plumbing projects, including:

• →Manage projects from preconstruction and estimating through completion and closeout.
• →Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, forecasting, billing, and other project controls.
• →Monitor labor, material, job costs, and overall project profitability.
• →Coordinate closely with field leaders, project foremen, general contractors, customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• →Identify project risks, scope changes, and potential cost or schedule impacts and drive issues through resolution.
• →Manage change orders, purchasing, procurement, and project documentation.
• →Prepare estimates and proposals, including takeoffs, labor considerations, and vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• →Build strong customer relationships and serve as a trusted point of contact throughout the project.

More than anything, we're looking for a strong construction project manager who takes ownership, learns quickly, and works well with both customers and field teams.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of construction project management experience with demonstrated ownership of commercial construction projects.
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, job costs, and customer relationships.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Strong communication, organization, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and follow issues through resolution.
• Commercial plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, piping, or other MEP experience is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field, or equivalent construction or trade experience, preferred.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

• Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
• This is an onsite position based out of our Madison office.
• Local travel to jobsites, customer meetings, and project meetings throughout southern Wisconsin. No overnight travel.
