Position Overview:
A qualified Slurry Seal Driver to join our Utah Division. This position plays a critical role in our pavement maintenance operations, transporting and assisting in the application of slurry seal materials on job sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a safety-first mindset, and experience working with slurry seal equipment and heavy machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate Class A CDL vehicles including slurry seal trucks and support equipment • Assist with the application of slurry seal on roadways, parking lots, and other surfaces • Safely operate front-end loaders and other heavy equipment as needed • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT regulations • Maintain accurate driver logs and equipment reports • Follow all traffic control and job site safety procedures • Assist crew members with general labor duties when required • Travel to job sites as needed (some out-of-town work required; home most nights)
Qualifications:
• Valid Class A CDL (No Restrictions Required) • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) • Prior experience with slurry seal applicators preferred • Experience operating front-end loaders and heavy equipment preferred • Ability to work in outdoor conditions, including heat and varying weather • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor • Strong commitment to safety and compliance.
Compensation & Benefits
• Starting Pay: $27.00 – $32.00 per hour (DOE) • Benefits: Eligible after 30 days (medical, dental, vision, etc.) • 401(k): Eligible after 90 days • Opportunities for advancement within a growing company
Work Schedule
• Full-time, seasonal/long-term opportunity • Some out-of-town travel required • Home most nights
Safety & Compliance Requirements
• Must comply with all DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and company safety regulations • Participation in daily stretch and flex program (required) • Adherence to PPE requirements and job site safety protocols • Subject to pre-employment drug screening • Participation in random drug and alcohol testing (DOT & company policy) • Must report any license suspensions or violations immediately
