What You’ll Accomplish 

  • Support archival processing by inventorying, rehousing, conducting descriptive cataloging, writing finding aids, and ingesting data into the catalog
  • Research records, events, and figures to enrich Museum history and metadata
  • Digitize records by scanning or photographing and create their metadata for ingestion into the Museum’s digital asset management system
  • Assist with basic reference inquiries from staff and the public through phone, email, onsite appointments, and web inquiry
  • Aid the Senior Archivist with daily operations 

 What We’re Looking For (Competencies) 

  • Enrolled in or recently graduated (less than 1 year) from a graduate archives and/or library science program 
  • Familiarity with archival standards and metadata schemas such as DACS and Dublin Core
  • Familiarity with archival and library databases such as ArchivesSpace
  • Demonstrated interest in history, archives, library sciences, or museum studies  
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy  
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently

Salary Range
$19$19 USD
