As Operations Manager – BWTS, you will lead and support our technical operations related exclusively to Ballast Water Treatment Systems. You’ll manage and guide our field engineers, project managers, and partners, acting as the primary technical expert for this domain. Reporting directly to the Technical Director , you’ll ensure the quality, safety, and continuous improvement of our BWTS services.

Provide high-level technical support to project managers, sales engineers, and field engineers in all BWTS-related matters.

Manage and develop the BWTS technical team, including:

Job allocation, coaching, training, and performance evaluation.

Recruiting and onboarding new BWTS engineers in collaboration with HR.

Setting clear expectations and tracking performance against KPIs.

Ensure implementation and compliance with Mr. Marine's QHSE policies and ISO9001:2015 standards within BWTS operations.

Lead complex BWTS service and modernization projects from design to installation.

Analyze technical issues and lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis efforts.

Maintain up-to-date technical documentation, standards, and regulatory requirements for BWTS (Flag, Class, OEMs).

Act as a technical point of contact for clients, supporting commercial and operational teams.

Participate in the on-call technical support rotation outside office hours.
Bachelor's or associate degree (EQF 6/7) in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering—or equivalent by experience (EQF 5+).
Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience with marine systems, with significant exposure to BWTS.
At least 3 years in a management or technical leadership role.
Proven knowledge of marine instrumentation and automation at both theoretical and practical levels.
Familiarity with international regulations and compliance requirements (IMO, BWT Convention, etc.).
Strong leadership, organizational, and mentoring skills.
Excellent communication in English (written and verbal); knowledge of a second language is an asset.
High attention to detail and a structured, proactive working style.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
Deep understanding of QHSE and ISO management systems.
Commercial awareness and strong customer focus.
Technically hands-on and comfortable with both software and hardware.
