DevOps Engineer - Kansas City, MO

Onspring is seeking a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer (or Architect) to help scale and support the infrastructure powering our SaaS platform. In this role, you'll work closely with development, security, and support teams to design, implement, and maintain robust cloud-based and on prem infrastructure, automation, and monitoring systems. This is a hands-on role that blends engineering with architectural planning, and includes involvement in performance tuning, tooling, and incident response.

Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure & Systems
  • Manage, monitor, and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting tools to ensure system health and performance
  • Configure logging and analytics systems for observability and proactive issue detection
  • Contribute to performance management, scaling, and system reliability initiatives
• DevOps & Automation
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated builds, tests, and deployments
  • Write and maintain scripts to automate repetitive or manual tasks
  • Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to manage and provision environments
• Collaboration & Support
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to integrate DevOps practices into the SDLC
  • Provide Tier 3 support for complex technical issues escalated from customer support
  • Participate in incident response and root cause analysis

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years System Admin/Engineering experience (Windows and Linux).- including strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash)
• 3+ years working in a public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Proficiency with CI/CD tooling (Source Control, Build Pipelines, Deployment Automation)
• Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)
• Knowledge of containerization technologies
• Familiarity with formal patterns of software architecture, development, and testing
• Solid understanding of networking, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and VPNs
• Working knowledge of relational database systems and non-relational data systems.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
• Excellent organizational skills; able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Cloud provider certification(s) (ex: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, MS Certified Azure Administrator Associate, or similar)
• Background in Network Security or System Administration
