Job Description:
Protecting a global financial institution requires more than technology — it demands sharp minds who understand the complex landscape of nation state threats. At JPMorganChase, our Global Security team is at the forefront of identifying, assessing, and mitigating strategic risks that could impact our people, data, and operations worldwide. This is your opportunity to bring your national security expertise to one of the world's most influential financial institutions and make a measurable difference every day.

As a Senior Associate at JPMorganChase within the Global Security Strategic Threats program, you will serve as a key contributor on a high-performing team dedicated to identifying and countering nation state threats to the firm. Based in Washington, D.C., you will partner across lines of business and corporate functions — including cybersecurity, legal, and compliance  to deliver intelligence-driven risk assessments and mitigation strategies. Your work will directly inform senior leadership decisions and help safeguard the firm's critical information, workforce, and supply chain. This role offers exceptional visibility and the opportunity to collaborate with some of the most motivated professionals in the national security field.

The Strategic Threats program operates at the intersection of counterintelligence, business risk, and corporate security, providing dedicated support to all areas of the firm. You will engage directly with business stakeholders to understand their operations, vet external relationships, and equip teams with actionable security guidance. This is not a cybersecurity role  it is a national security role that requires deep analytical expertise, creative problem-solving, and the ability to communicate complex threat information to diverse audiences.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain collaborative partnerships with Global Security, Cybersecurity and Technology Controls, and other internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate nation state-related threats to the firm
  • Provide dedicated counterintelligence support across all lines of business and corporate functions, engaging directly with business stakeholders to understand operations and assess risk exposure
  • Produce high-quality analytic risk assessments on nation state threats, insider threats, and supply chain vulnerabilities to inform fully informed business decisions
  • Conduct research and analysis in support of nation state-related investigations, leveraging multiple databases and designated intelligence tools
  • Develop and deliver education and awareness materials on strategic threats, tailored to a variety of internal audiences
  • Identify nation state targeting of employees and supply chain partners, and recommend mitigation strategies to protect the firm's critical information
  • Communicate complex strategic threat issues clearly and compellingly to senior leadership through structured briefings and presentations
  • Support the controls environment, data integrity, metrics tracking, and trends analysis to strengthen the program's overall effectiveness
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
  • Formal training or certification on Strategic Threats / Counterintelligence concepts and 3+ years applied experience
  • Minimum three years of relevant experience in any combination of counterintelligence investigations, operations, analysis, business intelligence, competitive intelligence, or assessing complex threats from nation state actors and insider threats
  • Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking and creative problem-solving to deliver results in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Proven experience analyzing and communicating complex risks clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on producing precise, well-structured analysis and presentations
  • Ability to leverage multiple data sets and intelligence tools to support complex research and analysis
  • Strong interpersonal and influence skills, with the ability to drive outcomes through cross-functional collaboration without direct authority
  • Proficiency in creating and delivering compelling presentations and conducting data analysis
