THE ROLE


You will oversee the planning and co-ordination of our schemes and be the main escalation point for the client/operatives and management.  With responsibility for the organisation of works whilst ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and welfare of operatives. Supporting the successful completion of works within agreed timescales, budgets, and standards. Considering and valuing the diverse needs of customers at all stages of your work processes.

 

You will be primarily based in the Podington depot with regular travel between sites and depots.





Key Responsibilities





  • Assisting the Regional Operations Manager with the day-to-day organisation of resources.
  • Taking ownership and planning the safe delivery of the scheme. Delivering ‘Roadworks a Customer View, the 20 Customer principles document to drive customer experience and minimise the impact of our works.
  • Providing support to the Supervisors and assisting them in their delivery of schemes
  • Reviewing Operatives Progress/ Site Diaries and Signing off Timesheets
  • Attending client meetings
  • Liaising with the on-site teams to update progress reports and feed the resource requirements into the Programme.
  • Flagging up additional works with the client and raising Early Warnings/ preparing the information for the Commercial team
  • RAMS and preparing Health & Safety documentation. Ensuring the H&S procedures within the RAMS are then implemented on site.
  • Checking the material orders with the Procurement team and organising their deliveries to sites.
  • Document control. Comparing latest revision drawings against the tender documents and submitting the change in works information to the commercial team
  • Overseeing, Toolbox Talks and carrying out Site Safety Audits when required.
  • Coordinate with engineers, site teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure project compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor budgets, costs, and resource allocation.
  • Provide leadership and problem-solving support on-site.
  • Project Manager duties: PDR’s, Pay Reviews, Confidential Discussions, Team development, along with your own Live CDP, completing Investigations, Disciplinaries, internal and external Interviews, following the MSF people processes.

 

 

Candidate Profile


  • Experienced in Managing Operatives
  • A collaborative leader who is passionate about getting the best out of people
  • A strong communicator and able to build strong relationships with people at all levels
  • Able to identify improvements needed – and support with implementation
  • Committed to ensuring all installations are completed to the correct standard, delivered on time and to budget
  • Passionate about maintaining a high level of health and safety as per company policies/procedures
    • Ensuring all works are completed as per MSF HSEQ policies and procedures
    • Reporting any HSEQ issues to supervisor and via Eyes and Ears App
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Able to show a high level of understanding of organising and managing projects in construction works
