- Execute preventive and predictive maintenance procedures to minimize unexpected breakdowns and optimize equipment performance.
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures and breakdowns, demonstrate a strong background in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues in industrial equipment, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with maintenance technicians to provide technical guidance.
- Perform mechanical repairs and overhauls on equipment as needed, including disassembly, part replacement, and reassembly.
- Ensure the use of proper tools, techniques, and safety precautions during maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest level of equipment reliability and availability.
- Provide general support and assistance to Reliability Team.
- Identify and lead projects for continuous improvement initiatives to improve operational efficiency and decrease downtime.
- Use data-driven insights to optimize maintenance strategies and minimize lifecycle costs.
- Promote best practices and facilitate improvement initiatives to encourage a culture of continuous improvement.
- Engage in regular reviews and assessments to improve maintenance processes and methodologies.
- Analyze maintenance expenditures and trends to identify cost-cutting alternatives while maintaining or improving equipment reliability that have no impact on quality or safety.
- Create and implement cost-effective maintenance strategies, such as managing spare parts inventory, improving maintenance scheduling, and reducing unplanned downtime.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to maintenance teams, promoting skill development and career growth.
- Participate in the recruiting and onboarding of maintenance professionals to contribute to talent acquisition activities.
- Conduct performance appraisals and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Collaborate with HR to create training and development programs for maintenance staff.
- Support company policies and procedures as a member of management for all employees; presents a professional image as a representative of the company.
- Creates an environment focused on continuous learning and improvement, fostering close-knit collaboration sparked by the energy of a startup.
- Establishes and maintains effective professional working relationships with co-workers and every level of management.
- Operates safely within NatureWorks policies, procedures and governmental regulations and fully participates in and champions NatureWorks Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) Programs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into the design and development process.
- Ensures the EH&S Programs are being followed and provides a safe working environment to our employees and customers.
- Accountable for building a strong safety culture and actively pursues it on a daily basis; identifies unsafe behaviors and conditions and intervenes to mitigate incidents.
Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering / technical field
- Holding Mechanical engineering license.
- 5 years minimum Maintenance or Reliability experience in a chemical manufacturing facility
- Knowledge of reliability principles, statistical analysis, and data interpretation
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems using formal techniques to evaluate systems, equipment, and processes.
- Knowledge of using Reliability Centered Maintenance techniques, cause analysis, and predictive maintenance technologies such as vibration analysis, infrared, acoustic emissions, tribology, etc.
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations, standards, and best practices related to maintenance cost optimization in relevant sectors.
- Strong knowledge and experience in spare parts inventory management, including establishing optimal stocking levels, supplier negotiations, and inventory cost reduction strategies.
- Strong knowledge and experience in mechanical equipment repair and alteration, alignment and balancing.
- Proficiency in advanced data analytics tools and techniques, including predictive maintenance analytics, machine learning, or data-driven decision-making, is a significant advantage.
- Proficient in various computer programs especially SAP
Education and Experience Preferred:
- Advanced degree in Engineering
- Certification in maintenance or inspection related fields is a plus.
- Knowledge and experience in Lean manufacturing and kaizen principles
- Training in Weibull, RCI, FMEA, RCM, RBI, Modeling, etc. facilitation would be helpful.
- Project Management experience and knowledge
Other (knowledge, skills and abilities):
- Thorough understanding of ensuring the safety of manufacturing areas and work practices in accordance with the site Environmental, Health & Safety programs
- General knowledge of production management with the ability to develop understanding of plant processes and operational needs.
- Understanding of process fundamentals and unit operations
- Good knowledge of safety, electrical and fire protection standards
- Supports NatureWorks vision and values through project / teamwork.
- Strong customer focus and service orientation with the ability to interact effectively with employees and vendors at all levels in a cross-cultural setting.
- Understands the plans for meeting the business strategy and objectives, and how it relates to daily activities.
- Promotes cooperation within the team and between teams.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to a challenging and developing environment; willingness to take on new responsibilities as our business evolves.
