Delivery Manager for S&P Ratings

Key Responsibilities: 

• Leadership and Ownership: Take full ownership of the offshore team’s (dev, qa, ba, deployment) performance and success. Act as the primary point of contact for all team-related matters, ensuring team members have the resources, guidance, and support they need to succeed.
• Self-Sufficiency: Run the team without significant external blockers, taking initiative to remove obstacles and ensuring a smooth, efficient workflow.
• Strong Technical Background: Need a developer / Architect turned Dev Manager. The role demands a techno-functional manager. Needs to have a solid technical background who can challenge and review Architecture, Design and Code, and quickly learn the functionality / domain as well. 
• Attention to Details: Very diligent monitoring of team's deliverables and activities. Need to be able to spot drifts real time and make course corrections immediately. 
• Customer Engagement: Comfortable engaging with customers, both to resolve issues and gather feedback to ensure the team’s work aligns with customer needs and expectations.
• Collaboration with US Counterparts: Work closely with the US development managers and directors, ensuring seamless collaboration across teams, alignment on goals, and timely sharing of key information.
• Metrics and Reporting: Need to be able to drive improvements through data driven governance. Provide regular updates to US development managers and directors on team performance, key metrics, and progress. Ensure visibility into the team's work and how it aligns with organizational goals.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills are essential. The SDM will need to communicate effectively with both offshore and US teams, ensuring that project expectations are clear, progress is tracked, and issues are proactively addressed.
• Team Development: Foster a culture of growth and improvement within the offshore team. Encourage innovation, problem-solving, and continuous learning.
• Process Improvement: Drive process improvements and efficiency within the team, ensuring agile methodologies are adopted where appropriate and obstacles are minimized.

Qualifications: 

• Proven experience in managing software development teams, preferably in an offshore model.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability with a track record of independently driving projects to completion.
• Comfortable and confident in interacting with customers when required, ensuring their needs are met and providing clear communication.
• Excellent collaboration skills, particularly with US counterparts, ensuring alignment across geographically distributed teams.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and effectively.
• Proven ability to handle metrics and provide meaningful updates to senior leadership.
• Experience in agile development processes and leading teams in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Ability to navigate and resolve conflicts, unblock team progress, and keep initiatives moving forward without needing constant oversight.
• A solution-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering results.

Preferred Skills: 

• Experience managing global teams with a mix of onshore and offshore resources.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies, SaaS development and good hands-on AI awareness.
• Experience with project management tools (Jira, Asana, Polarion) and metrics tracking tools.
• Will be a plus if he has experience implementing and delivering AI-led solutions.
