Design and build robust, scalable data platforms and pipelines in close collaboration with data scientists, analytics teams, and business stakeholders.

Own the end-to-end lifecycle of data solutions, from architecture and pipeline development to testing, deployment, orchestration, and monitoring.

Develop high-quality, scalable solutions for complex data challenges across streaming and batch processing, data warehousing, lake architectures, and analytics enablement.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.

1-3 years of experience in software engineering after graduation.

Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Based in Toronto; this is a 100% in-person role.

Legally eligible to work in Ontario, Canada.

Curiosity about multiple industries and technologies.

Tech agnostic mindset with proficiency and experience in some of the following: Python, Databricks, PySpark or Spark, SQL, Airflow, Cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure)

Strong communication skills.

Transparent salary development throughout your career with semi-annual compensation reviews

For this role, candidates can expect a starting base salary of CA$95,000 – CA$109,000. Total starting compensation ranges from CA$95,000 – CA$120,000, consisting of base salary and variable salary. Actual compensation is determined based on skills, experience, and role level.

Variable salary is our version of a bonus program and, it is paid out bi-weekly together with your base salary. The amount is based in part on your seniority and on the group performance of Netlight
