As Nex’s Project Manager - HW, you will support the day-to-day project management, tracking, and execution for Nex Playground from NPI through mass production and sustaining. You will coordinate across retail, marketing, design, engineering, compliance, supply chain, manufacturing, and ODMs to facilitate project execution and communication excellence. You will also support the team in improving working efficiency through effective tracking, documentation, and coordination.
This is a hands-on and execution-focused project management role. As you develop deeper product and technical knowledge, you will have opportunities to take ownership of larger workstreams and grow toward managing projects and programs independently.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and accountable. You enjoy bringing structure to complex and fast-moving projects and driving actions through closure. You think logically, communicate clearly, and are comfortable following up proactively with different stakeholders. You are curious, willing to learn technical subjects, and not afraid to ask questions when something does not make sense. Strong execution, ownership, and communication are most important traits for the job.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Manage NPI project(s), supporting day-to-day project tracking, coordination, and execution
- →Maintain project schedules, action trackers, issue/risk lists, and decision logs
- →Follow up with internal and external stakeholders (ODMs, OEMs, suppliers, factories, testing labs, etc) on actions, deliverables, and deadlines through closure
- →Support NPI build readiness by tracking deliverables across engineering, quality, compliance, supply chain, and manufacturing
- →Coordinate project operations such as sample requests, sample delivery, shipments, meeting arrangements, factory/lab visits, and other project logistics
- →Gradually develop deeper product and technical knowledge and take ownership of individual project workstreams
Requirements

- 3+ years of experience in project management / project coordination
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong follow-up and execution discipline with the ability to drive actions through closure
- Good communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively across different functions and stakeholders
- Fluency in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken
- Independent, proactive, and accountable
- Willing to learn and continuously develop technical and product knowledge
Nice to Have
~1 min read- Experience with smart / connected / wearable / IoT devices or other consumer electronics products
- Experience working with ODMs / OEMs through JDM/ODM engagement models
- Understanding of EE, ME, CMF, DFx, and electronics manufacturing processes
- Interest in developing toward a Project Manager, Program Manager, or Technical Program Manager role
- Location: Hong Kong or Remote
- Travel: China / International travel to factories and labs as needed
- Timezone: Will collaborate across timezones with defined overlap windows
