Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities are included but not limited to:

  • →

    Support the development and execution of the Operational Units Annual Operating Plan and Long-Range Strategic Plan (AOP/LRSP) investments to include the planning of resources to achieve the plans.

  • →

    Provide high-level strategic advice and recommendations to senior executives on financial performance, cost optimization, and resource allocation.

  • →

    Track and assess key financial and operational metrics, providing insights to optimize performance and inform decision-making.

  • →

    Lead key initiatives to improve productivity, efficiency, and financial performance within the P&L structure.

  • →

    Work with the finance team to monitor the budget and financial performance of the capital and NCTA investments, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.

  • →

    Assist in preparing financial reports and forecasts, providing actionable recommendations to drive financial success.

  • →

    Prepare Operating Unit Director for all senior level internal meetings and customer engagements with relevant information/materials such as talking points and relevant background information.

    Ensure deliverables required by Division level business rhythms are coordinated among the staff and delivered on-time.

  • →

    Promote a collaborative and high-performance environment, ensuring that all team members understand their role in achieving P&L targets.

    Facilitate effective internal communication to ensure all stakeholders are informed of progress on key priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant professional experience, or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant professional experience, supporting U.S. Government contracts/customers, program or project management, business operations, and/or technical programs.

  • Demonstrated experience in project/program management, business management, or cross-functional team leadership, including responsibility for coordinating project activities, deliverables, schedules, and/or stakeholder requirements.

  • Demonstrated experience analyzing project or business requirements and developing recommendations to support project execution, issue resolution, and/or management decision-making.

  • Demonstrated experience developing and presenting briefings, recommendations, project status, and/or business information to senior-level leadership or executive stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated experience analyzing program financial performance, including budgets, forecasts, cost performance, financial metrics, and/or variance analysis, and developing recommendations for program or business leadership.

  • Demonstrated experience working in a U.S. Government contracting or other regulated environment, including defense contracting, government procurement, or a comparable regulated environment.

  • Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint to perform business analysis, develop presentations/reports, manage information, and/or support project execution.

  • U.S. citizenship required.

  • Must possess a current/active DoD Secret clearance to be considered with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI and/or SAP access.  

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification or equivalent project/program management certification.

  • Experience working within Northrop Grumman organizational structures, processes, policies, and procedures including collaboration across multiple functional organizations.

  • Cost Account Management (CAM) certification or prior CAM experience, including application of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles such as cost forecasting, variance analysis, and Estimate at Completion (EAC) development.

  • Current/active Top Secret clearance with SCI and/or SAP access.

Primary Level Salary Range: $105,000.00 - $157,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
