Career Overview

NoaNet is seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack DevOps Engineer to design, develop, integrate, deploy, and support business-critical applications, BSS/OSS systems, and internal business platforms. This is a hands-on engineering role combining full stack software development, DevOps, system integration, and automation. The ideal candidate understands the complete application lifecycle, from architecture and development through testing, CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and ongoing production support.

The successful candidate is a software engineer who understands DevOps, business systems, and the infrastructure on which applications operate. This person is comfortable taking ownership of applications throughout their lifecycle while collaborating with Platform, Infrastructure, Network, Security, and Operations teams.

This position will also develop integrations and automation connecting BSS/OSS, business, operational, monitoring, and infrastructure platforms, including systems such as ServiceNow, NetSuite, Monday.com, Zabbix, PostgreSQL, GitLab, and other internal and third-party platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain web applications, internal business tools, and BSS/OSS solutions.
• Develop front-end applications, backend services, REST APIs, MCP-based integrations, and system integrations.
• Design and maintain PostgreSQL-backed applications, data models, queries, and application database integrations.
• Build integrations and automation across BSS/OSS and enterprise platforms, including ServiceNow, NetSuite, Monday.com, Zabbix, and other internal and third-party systems.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing, validation, security checks, and application deployments.
• Automate application provisioning, configuration, deployment, upgrades, and operational processes.
• Build and maintain containerized applications using Docker and related technologies.
• Develop automation and tooling using Python, Bash, APIs, webhooks, and other appropriate technologies.
• Develop application monitoring, logging, health checks, metrics, alerting, and observability capabilities.
• Integrate applications and automation with Zabbix and other monitoring and observability platforms.
• Develop and support applications operating within Linux, Proxmox, VMware, and other virtualized or containerized environments.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across application code, databases, APIs, Linux, containers, CI/CD pipelines, authentication, monitoring systems, and supporting infrastructure.
• Implement secure development practices, application security controls, secrets management, authentication, authorization, and secure API integrations.
• Participate in application architecture, technical design, code reviews, testing, release management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for applications, APIs, integrations, deployment processes, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with Platform, Infrastructure, Network, Security, Operations, and business teams to deliver reliable and maintainable solutions.
• Mentor developers and provide technical guidance on software development, DevOps, automation, and application architecture best practices.
• Evaluate new technologies and recommend solutions that improve application development, deployment, reliability, security, and operational efficiency.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education, Training, Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is required. Master's degree preferred. Equivalent combinations of education, industry certifications, and relevant professional experience may be considered.

Minimum 8+ years of experience in software engineering, full-stack application development, cloud infrastructure, automation, and DevOps practices.

• Strong full stack application development experience across front-end, backend, API, and database technologies.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, C#, PHP, Go, or similar languages.
• Experience with modern front-end frameworks and web development technologies.
• Strong experience designing, developing, consuming, and troubleshooting REST APIs and system integrations.
• Strong SQL and relational database knowledge, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Strong working knowledge of Linux environments, including services, permissions, networking, logging, and application troubleshooting.
• Experience with Git, branching strategies, code review, and modern source-control practices.
• Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automated software delivery processes.
• Experience with Docker, containers, and containerized application deployment.
• Experience with scripting, automation, and configuration management using Python, Bash, Ansible, or similar technologies.
• Experience integrating enterprise, BSS/OSS, business, monitoring, or operational platforms.
• Familiarity with platforms such as ServiceNow, NetSuite, monday.com, Zabbix, Proxmox, VMware vSphere/vCenter, and GitLab is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of application monitoring, logging, metrics, alerting, and observability principles.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, firewalls, proxies, and load balancing.
• Knowledge of application security, authentication, authorization, SSO, OAuth, OIDC, SAML, LDAP, secrets management, and secure development principles.
• Understanding of virtualization, high availability, infrastructure, and production application architecture.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills across application and supporting technology layers.
• Strong technical documentation and organizational skills.
• Ability to independently research, design, implement, and support complex technical solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across development, platform, infrastructure, networking, security, operations, and business teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to mentor other developers and provide technical leadership on development and DevOps practices.
• Previous technical project leadership or project management experience is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent professional experience will be considered.
• Experience within telecommunications, ISP, network operations, or another infrastructure-intensive environment is highly desirable.

Working Conditions:

• Work is normally performed in an office type environment with long periods of computer work.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote and collaborative environment.

• Must be a resident of Washington, Oregon, or Idaho.

Wage

• Salary range $130K - $170K / year DOE exempt position
