Salesforce Platform Engineer
Quick Summary
Company Overview NobleReach Foundation is a civic leadership platform committed to rekindling a spirit of national service across all career stages.
NobleReach Foundation is a civic leadership platform committed to rekindling a spirit of national service across all career stages. We believe the greatest challenges facing America demand technology, science, and business leaders fluent in government, industry, and academia—leaders who belong across sectors, not confined to one. We’re a hub where current and aspiring leaders can connect to opportunities that can meet their ambition for personal success and their passion to impact the world through public service.
Reporting to the SVP, Technology Operations & AI Enablement, the Salesforce Platform Engineer helps build Salesforce into NobleReach’s data intelligence layer: the trusted source that connects program, relationship, event, and engagement data for both people and AI agents. The role starts as a key contributor to our migration from Salesforce Government Cloud, working alongside Salesforce and our implementation partner, and grows into a hands-on internal resource for configuration, integrations, user adoption, and AI capabilities, including Agentforce. Over time, the work shifts from mostly platform administration toward a more balanced mix of platform and AI engineering.
-
Contribute to NobleReach’s migration from Salesforce Government Cloud to a Nonprofit or commercial environment, including data mapping, testing, UAT, and validation of migrated data, automation, and permissions
-
Learn from and progressively take over configuration, implementation, and training work currently handled by our implementation partner
-
Administer and configure NobleReach’s Salesforce environment (objects, permissions, Flows, reports, and dashboards) with a declarative-first approach, using Apex, Lightning Web Components, or APIs when needed
-
Help unify program, relationship, event, and engagement data, including through Data Cloud, and maintain data quality through deduplication, validation, and documentation of data flows
-
Build, test, and support Agentforce agents and AI-assisted workflows, and help move successful prototypes into production
-
Build and support integrations with Microsoft 365, Slack, marketing and event platforms, approved AI tools, and AppExchange solutions
-
Partner with the Applied AI team, IT Security, and the internal AI Council on AI use cases, data access, security, and governance
-
Deliver end-user training, documentation, and office hours to drive Salesforce adoption and help colleagues learn the platform
-
Maintain the enhancement backlog, follow change control and release processes, and monitor platform health and Salesforce release impacts, recommending improvements
-
Keep platform decisions tied to how program teams serve Scholars, partners, and participants, so Salesforce supports NobleReach’s mission and not just its processes
-
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline
-
Salesforce Administrator certification required; additional certifications (e.g., Platform Developer I, Agentforce Specialist) preferred
-
2+ years of hands-on Salesforce administration or platform experience in a production environment
-
Experience contributing to a Salesforce org migration or re-platforming is a strong plus
-
Strong declarative skills (Flow, security model, data modeling, reports); working knowledge of Apex, LWC, SOQL, and APIs preferred, with the judgment to know when code is the right tool
-
Familiarity with release management, sandboxes, data quality, and integration patterns
-
Hands-on experience with Agentforce, generative AI, or AI agents, with an example of automating a process or improving a decision
-
Experience with Sales Cloud; Data Cloud or another customer data platform is a plus
-
Clear communicator who can explain technical concepts to non-technical users
-
Active in the Salesforce community (e.g., Trailblazer or user groups) is a plus
-
Experience in a nonprofit, regulated, or government-adjacent environment is a plus
-
Must have an entrepreneurial mindset with a strong desire to have an impact on society
-
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, entrepreneurial environment; ability to exercise flexibility and good judgment in complex situations
-
Appetite for curiosity and desire to learn
