Regular/Temporary: Regular	FLSA Status: Hourly (Non-Exempt)
Shift: Day

SUMMARY
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervising the trouble shooting, repairing, and performance of preventative maintenance on all equipment throughout the operation. This individual will also be responsible for minimizing down time by detecting potential mechanical and electrical problems

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Must have good analytical skills, able to troubleshoot and make on the spot corrections to emergency conditions
Able to climb stairs and ladders and work safely at elevated heights of 100ft. and Confined Space
Knowledge of fabrication, electrical schematics, engineering drawings, power transmission, and pneumatics, welding and cutting are necessary.
Light Industrial Electric required, Hydraulics, Power Transmissions, and Pneumatic; basic computer knowledge; previous feed mill experience desired.

QUALIFICATIONS

Skills & Competencies:

Safety, inventory and maintenance processes and procedures
Computer systems to create spreadsheets is a plus
Technical and mechanical systems related to operation

Ability to:

Maintain high quality control standards; effectively problem-solve, supervise and troubleshoot
Communicate effectively with all levels of staff throughout the organization
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Evaluate employees fairly and objectively
Work flexible hours; OT, and rotating weekends.

Equipment Manual comprehensions: Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance, service, or operation.
Follow Instructions: Reads instructions / labels and performs work as assigned by department supervisor or lead.

Experience and Training Guidelines:

College coursework in technical field desired
Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in feed mill maintenance, industrial, or a production environment.
MS Office – Excel, Word
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize successfully
Experience with CMMS systems

Working conditions

Work may be performed inside or outside in hot and cool temperatures and a noisy environment. May be exposure to loud noises and steam exhaust, and dusty, muddy and slick environment. Adhere to all PPE Guidelines as established by OSHA and the company. PPE required: Safety glasses, steel/composite toe footwear, bump cap (hat liner when approved), uniform or high visibility coverage (jacket or vest), and gloves when necessary. Position may require work outside regular business hours, including weekends, holidays and occasional travel to other company locations.
