JOB PURPOSE:

The Content and Digital Marketing Officer will develop and execute comprehensive digital marketing strategies, manage our online presence, and drive brand awareness across various digital platforms, aligning with overall marketing and organizational goals.


The role involves managing our brand’s digital media presence and strategically buying advertising space to amplify our reach. You will be responsible for building a thriving online community and executing targeted social media campaigns that drive brand awareness and achieve the brand’s marketing goals. Additionally, you will utilize your media buying expertise to secure optimal placements for ads, ensuring the maximum return on investment (ROI).


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Digital Marketing

  • Create and implement a strategic digital marketing plan that aligns with our branding and marketing objectives across platforms.
  • Respond promptly to comments, messages, and inquiries from followers on social media platforms.
  • Develop and execute targeted social media advertising campaigns to reach specific demographics and achieve marketing goals.
  • Update and maintain the company website content, ensuring accuracy and alignment with brand messaging.
  • Optimize website content and user experience to improve search engine visibility.
  • Monitor and analyze the key. performance metrics, such as website traffic and engagement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather content ideas and ensure alignment with company initiatives.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and customer preferences.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate campaign results and insights.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, agencies, and partners
  • Stay up to date with digital marketing trends and best practices
  • Manage the day-to-day social media calendar, including scheduling and posting content
  • Monitor social media conversations, respond to comments and messages promptly, and address customer service inquiries
  • Report on feedback and online responses, comments, and reviews
  • Analyze social media data to track performance, identify trends, and measure ROI
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest social media trends and real-time online conversations, and adapt strategies accordingly for the benefit of improving conversations and content ideation
  • Research and identify the most effective advertising platforms for our target audience.
  • Develop and manage social media advertising budgets.
  • Run and monitor ad campaigns, analyze performance data, and optimize campaigns for maximum ROI.

Content

  • Develop and execute a content marketing strategy that aligns with our business goals, SEO, and brand.
  • Develop engaging and visually appealing content to promote brand awareness and customer engagement
  • Manage our content calendar end-to-end, ensuring content is efficiently produced with minimum friction and process clarity.
  • Ensure content quality, consistency, and brand alignment in everything we produce.
  • Monitor and report on content KPIs and use analytics tools to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Align messaging to ensure integrated campaign support across channels
  • Measure content success through analytical reports

INTERNAL RELATIONS:

  • Maintains contact with all team members,

EXTERNAL RELATIONS:

  • Maintains contacts with the company’s corporate organizations, and statutory organizations in line with business as may be required.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR ASSETS:

  • Responsible for protection, conservation and efficient utilization of all ASSETS including Vehicles, Mobile Phones, laptops and cash assigned to the company.

COMPETENCIES:

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • HND or bachelor’s degree in marketing or any field from a reputable university.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Digital Marketing.
  • Proven experience creating authoritative and engaging content. Portfolio of written work required.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, tools, and techniques.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and manage projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing platforms and analytics tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills
  • Proficiency with photography and content creation software is a plus
  • Outstanding time management and organizational skills
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful social media campaigns
  • Experience with social media analytics and reporting tools
  • Experience with media buying platforms and strategies (a plus)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

  • Knowledge of marketing planning skills
  • Ability to understand marketing concepts and principles.
  • Knowledge of presentation and communication skills
  • Knowledge of social media platforms
  • Experience with MS Office
  • Analytical and research abilities
