Key Account & Modern Trade Supervisor


JOB DESCRIPTION

 

As our Key Account & Modern Trade Officer, you will be responsible for effectively driving sales growth, increasing market share for Babylove Diapers in the modern trade channels, and managing Key Customers' operations. This will include developing and executing channel strategies across shopping malls, supermarkets, and convenience stores. You'll leverage market analysis to identify growth opportunities and build strong relationships with channel partners to maximize sales and market share.

 

Responsibilities:

Revenue Growth


  • Deliver monthly and annual Volumes, Revenue, and Distribution targets set for Modern Trade.

  • Developing and implementing strategies to optimize modern trade channels such as shopping malls, supermarkets, and convenience stores.

  • Monitor and evaluate modern trade channel performance, KPIs, and market share to identify areas for improvement

  • Preparing Sales Forecasts and Sales Performance reports monthly, quarterly, and annually for presentation.

  • To provide Sales Forecast in line with Sales Trend and Sales Plan.

  • Effective monitoring Sales & Merchandising Force through well designed route plans.

  • Ensure customer outstanding do not exceed the agreed credit limits.

  • Responsible for payment collection & accounts reconciliation of all customers

  • To actively monitor competitors' activities and suggest / implement appropriate action.

 

Customer Experience, Sales and Marketing Operations

 


  • Understanding and analyzing market dynamics, trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.

  • Establish and manage the relationship with Supermarket and Store Management

  • Ensure Shelf Planno-Grams are maintained as per the plans

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with modern trade partners, this involves negotiating contracts, setting pricing policies, and resolving any issues that may arise.

  • Conduct frequent Business review meetings with all customers.

  • To ensure that all trading agreements with customers are fully implemented

  • To actively monitor competitors' activities and suggest / implement appropriate action.


Marketing Communications

 


  • To be responsible for ensuring full availability & visibility in assigned stores with all categories in charge

  • Implement the visibility plan from Trade Category and channel Visibility guideline (by category/customers)

  • Ensure streamlined implementation of the customer strategy at point of sales (POS) to build market share

People


  • Constantly provide on-the-job coaching to Sales & Merchandising Force.

 

INTERNAL RELATIONS:

  • Maintains contact with all team members,

 

EXTERNAL RELATIONS:

  • Maintains contacts with the company’s corporate organizations, and statutory organizations in line with business as may be required.


 

RESPONSIBILITY FOR ASSETS:

  • Responsible for protection, conservation and efficient utilization of all ASSETS including Vehicles, Mobile Phones, laptops and cash assigned to the company.




COMPETENCIES:

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:


  • Degree in Business Management/Marketing or relevant professional qualification

  • Professional certificate from a professional body such as CIM is an added advantage.

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a related position

  • Experience in the Ghanaian FMCG market will be an added advantage

  • Excellent customer service skills to build and maintain strong customer relationships.

  • The candidate must be willing to work in outstation areas and on weekends

 

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:


  • Knowledge of marketing planning skills

  • Ability to understand marketing concepts and principles.
  • Knowledge of presentation and communication skills
  • Demonstration of excellent negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of social media platforms
  • Experience with MS Office

  • Strong analytical, research and communication skills
  • Ability to drive with a Valid Driver’s License B or above

  • Ability to relate effectively to people at all levels

  • Good communication and presentation skills

  • Assertiveness – ability to articulate viewpoints and stick to them where necessary

  • Coping with pressure: - ability to cope with work, time, and people pressures.
