Qualified candidates will have a bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, geosciences, geography, data science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent applicable work experience — both paths are weighted equally — along with 3–7 years of relevant experience in pipeline integrity, geotechnical or hydrotechnical assessment, geospatial analysis, data science, or a comparable technical program. Required skills include working proficiency with SQL and relational database design, and demonstrated ability to organize and analyze large spatial and time-series datasets. Scripting experience in Python or R, and practical experience applying machine learning, statistical modeling, or AI-assisted tooling to engineering or geospatial problems, are preferred. Working knowledge of 49 CFR Parts 192 and 195 and industry integrity practices is a plus. The successful candidate will be an organized project leader who can drive multiple concurrent efforts to completion without direct reports, communicate technical findings clearly to both engineering and operations audiences, and respond promptly during severe weather, seismic, and wildfire events.
