The Senior Facilities Repair & Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and efficient operation of facility infrastructure and utility systems. This role ensures all building systems function safely, reliably, and in compliance with applicable procedures and regulations. The position supports continuous operations through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, documentation, and coordination with internal stakeholders and external contractors.

  • Execute general work orders and respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain and repair building finishes and associated systems, including walls, floors, ceilings, electrical systems, plumbing systems, and fixtures.
  • Install insulation in walls, ceilings, and floors to provide sound and thermal barriers using appropriate tools, materials, and personal protective equipment.
  • Perform painting, carpentry, and masonry work, including surface preparation and application of paints, stains, and varnishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers; hanging doors; and fitting locks and handles.
  • Perform plumbing maintenance and repairs, including replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging drains, trenching and installation of new lines, and replacement of drain hoses on washers and similar equipment.
  • Conduct daily inspections of facility equipment and services and maintain accurate logs of equipment readings and inspections.
  • Perform minor electrical maintenance, including replacement or repair of fixtures such as switches, outlets, bulbs, ballasts, sockets, fuses, cords, and small appliances.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • High School or GED - Required

 

  • 2 years or more in Facility Maintenance or related experience

 

  • Strong working knowledge of building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, manuals, SOPs, and technical documentation.
  • Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

 

Additional Requirement: This position requires successful completion of an OSHA-compliant Respirator Fit Test.
