Shift Supervisor

The shift supervisor role at Orbital Kitchens is not just a job; it's a pivotal position that requires strong leadership skills and kitchen experience. We're looking for a fully bilingual candidate in Spanish & English, a self-starter and team player who thrives in a challenging, dynamic setting.

• →Supervise line cooks' work to ensure timely task completion and adherence to quality standards.
• →Ensure that food is prepared according to designated recipes and meets quality standards.
• →Maintain sanitation requirements, including temperature control, storage procedures, product rotation, and food handling practices.
• →Control waste and manage portion sizes to optimize food costs.
• →Monitor food inventories and ensure appropriate levels are maintained.
• →Execute daily side work with enthusiasm and attention to detail.
• →Demonstrate flexibility by working within various kitchen stations, including fry, plancha, and expediter.
• →Assist in additional tasks and duties as assigned by management.

• A minimum of 5+ years of previous kitchen experience.
• Bilingual in Spanish & English
• 3+ years of experience in a lead or supervisory role.
• Possession of a NYC Food Handlers Permit.
• Strong understanding of kitchen operations, culinary techniques, and food safety standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain composure under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
