General Manager – Safety (HSE)

Job Purpose Lead Health, Safety, Environment and Community functions across the infrastructure programme. Key Responsibilities • Implement and maintain an OHSMS aligned to ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and the PNG Mining (Safety) Act. • Lead incident investigation (ICAM / TapRoot), risk management, emergency response and contractor HSE assurance. • Deliver HSE training, statistics, KPI tracking and regulator liaison (MRA, DLIR, CEPA). • Build and lead a multi-tier HSE team (Safety Managers, Officers, Jr. Safety). • Champion behavioural safety and 'zero harm' culture across the project. Requirements Qualifications • Tertiary qualification in OHS / Environmental discipline. • ICAM Lead Investigator. • NEBOSH IGC / Diploma; Cert IV TAE desirable. Experience • 15+ years in mine-site or major-project HSE leadership. • Minimum 5 years at manager / GM level.
