Position Overview

The Global Benefits Administrator manages, improves health, welfare, retirement, and supplemental benefit programs across 11 countries. Operating as a senior individual contributor and subject-matter expert with minimal direction, this role ensures accurate delivery, statutory compliance, vendor accountability, and a consistent global employee experience. The role addresses complex, cross-border benefits matters in close partnership with HR, Payroll, Finance, and Legal.

Key responsibilities

  • Administer health, welfare, retirement/pension, income protection, wellness, and supplemental benefit programs across 11 countries, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.

  • Serve as subject-matter expert on statutory and supplemental benefits requirements in each country; monitor regulatory changes and ensure ongoing compliance with local laws, filings, and reporting obligations.

  • Lead annual open enrollment and renewal cycles for each country, coordinating timelines, plan changes, system configuration, and employee communications.

  • Manage relationships with global and local brokers, insurers, third-party administrators, and pension providers; hold vendors accountable to service levels and support renewal negotiations and benchmarking.

  • Maintain accurate benefits data in the HRIS/benefits platform; audit records to ensure data integrity and payroll accuracy, and reconcile vendor invoices.

  • Analyze benefits costs, utilization, and market trends; support annual benefits budgeting and provide reporting and recommendations to leadership.

  • Act as the escalation point for complex employee benefits questions across regions and time zones, delivering clear, culturally appropriate communications and enrollment materials.

  • Design and implement benefits programs for new-country entries, expansions, and M&A integration; lead process-improvement, harmonization, and automation initiatives, and provide guidance to less-experienced team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • +6 years proven experience in benefits administration, including significant international / multi-country experience.

  • In-depth understanding of statutory and supplemental benefits across multiple regions (North America, EMEA, and/or APAC); LatAm focus is a plus.

  • Proven experience managing brokers, carriers, and third-party administrators across borders.

  • Hands-on experience with an HRIS/benefits system (e.g., Rippling, Workday) and benefits administration platforms.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with impeccable attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage complex projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines across time zones.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

  • Fluent English language proficiency is required; additional languages relevant to the covered regions are a plus.
