Responsibilities

  • →Own the reconciliation of credit portfolio positions, cash, and P&L, resolving breaks and escalating exceptions to finance and investment teams.
  • →Serve as the primary operational point of contact for borrowers, lenders, and agent parties, managing daily activity including wires, trade settlement, and funding mechanics.
  • →Partner with investment teams from term sheet through closing on complex transactions, including bank debt, equity/options, and FX, advising on funding mechanics and operational requirements.
  • →Review and approve funds flows for accuracy and completeness prior to release.
  • →Ensure timely, accurate booking and reporting that aligns with legal agreements, and maintain portfolio records in line with internal and external guidelines.
  • →Lead month-end deliverables in coordination with finance teams and external administrators, owning timelines and issue resolution.
  • →Contribute operational input to weekly pipeline discussions with the credit investment team, valuation, compliance, finance, and tax.
  • →Prepare and review regular and ad-hoc reporting for portfolio managers and senior management, ensuring data integrity across systems.
  • →Support audits and regulatory reporting, serving as the subject matter expert on portfolio and transaction records.
  • →Identify and lead process improvements that reduce risk and increase efficiency, addressing disparate data sources and siloed workflows.
  • →Partner with technology teams to define requirements, enhance system capabilities, and automate manual processes, then monitor and refine results.
  • →Uphold compliance standards and risk management protocols, proactively flagging control gaps.
  • →Act as an escalation point for the team on complex or time-sensitive issues.

 

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in loan operations, investment accounting, fund administration or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of credit products, including bonds, loans, and derivatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex workflows or portfolios with limited supervision.
  • Experience reviewing and overseeing work performed by junior team members or offshore resources.
  • Experience with Geneva, WSO, Allvue, iLevel and/or Power BI a plus.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to credit investments.
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large datasets, reconciliations, and financial templates.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Extremely organized and process oriented.

 

 

At Petra Funds Group, we are committed to transparency and equity in our hiring practices. The compensation range for this position is $122,000 - $183,000 per year. This range represents the base salary only. Actual pay will depend on factors such as qualifications, experience, and skills.
