The Exchange & Operating Environment Support Section within the Infrastructure & Operational Support Branch of DFAT's Information Management & Technology Division is seeking a highly experienced Project / Delivery Manager to serve as the primary point of contact for the department's Managed ICT services, ensuring effective and consistent delivery. This role will be the key liaison between providers and internal technical teams and will be responsible for managing end-to-end service delivery processes, maintaining strong stakeholder relationships, and ensuring that service performance aligns with contractual obligations and business objectives.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- → Reviewing and renewing contracts for managed ICT services.
- →Identifying the technical risks and prepare the State of Requirements for an Approach to Market for Windows 11 MOE and Applications packaging support.
- →Taking on the lead role for transition of new services or providers, ensuring stakeholder engagement, service readiness and clear expectations.
- →Ensuring services are delivered in line with contractual Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- →Working closely with other teams and external vendors to ensure seamless system functionality, integration, and efficiency.
- →Building and maintaining strong customer relationships, ensuring consistent communication and engagement at both operational and executive levels.
- →Managing service expectations and facilitating continuous improvement.
- →Ensuring accurate and up-to-date service documentation and escalation procedures.

The team is responsible for the end user desktop environment management. This includes the Standard Operating Environment (SOE), Active Directory, Exchange, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager and Application Packaging.
- Demonstrated experience in successfully managing technical projects.
- Demonstrated experience with the Approach to Market and Tender process within Australian Public Service.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, internal teams, and stakeholders.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Facilitate meetings, taking structured minutes, tracking action items, and following up on outcomes including a proven ability to keep senior stakeholders informed and engaged, manage risks and issues and coordinate releases.
- 5+ years of experience in delivery management or service delivery.
- Strong understanding of IT service management principles, including incident, problem, change, and request management.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and project management tools.
- Australian citizenship required.
- Active Negative Vetting Level 2 (NV2) security clearance is mandatory prior to commencement.
