ANC Application Engineer

## Company: Qualcomm China ## Job Area: Engineering Group, Engineering Group > Software Applications Engineering General Summary: About the Role This role mainly focuses on ANC application support for Qualcomm Bluetooth earbud and headphone chipsets, serving as the technical interface between customers and Qualcomm engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle. You will play a key role in shaping the ANC experience of next-generation consumer audio products. Job Description * Lead ANC evaluation and tuning with customers to deliver optimal ANC performance. * Provide technical support across the product lifecycle, including design-win, tuning/testing, feature scoping, validation, and production. * Investigate and resolve ANC and system-level issues in collaboration with customers and Qualcomm engineering teams. * Deliver technical documentation, measurement reports, and tuning/application guides to customers. * Based in Shenzhen, with travel as needed (up to 30%). Minimum Qualifications * Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Acoustics, or a related field. * 5+ years of experience in audio/voice tuning, electro-acoustic simulation, acoustic measurement/automation, audio algorithm development, or DSP porting. * Solid understanding of audio signal processing, including IIR/FIR filters, FFT, and LMS. * Good understanding of room acoustics, electro-acoustic components (ADC/DAC, microphone, speaker), and measurement techniques, particularly for ANC. * Proven debugging and root-cause analysis skills for embedded or real-time audio systems. * Good written and spoken English for technical communication with customers and global teams. * Strong ability to manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously and prioritize effectively. Preferred Qualifications * Experience with ANC system design, including acoustic simulation, ANC filter design, adaptive ANC, wind noise reduction, or howling suppression. * Experience with Qualcomm ANC or Kymera audio framework. * Proficiency in MATLAB or Python for analysis, plus ML for voice or ANC processing. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. • 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. • 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with debugging techniques.
