Branch Operations Coordinator

Assisting in establishing a brand-new operation in the Vaal Triangle, this position drives business growth from the ground up for a distributor of aluminum products. The role combines business development with hands-on trade counter management, serving local fabricators who construct windows, doors, shopfronts, and balustrades. Operating full-time on site with rotating trade hours (including some Saturday mornings), the role carries full operational accountability for cash, stock, customer engagement, and local market expansion. Reporting directly to the executive leadership team, you will lead a small branch team while actively identifying and converting new commercial opportunities across the region. Key Responsibilities Establish and launch the new branch operation in the Vaal Triangle, driving local market footprint and sales growth. Manage daily trade counter operations, delivering direct service to regional fabricators. Drive proactive business development by sourcing, visiting, and building long-term relationships with regional fabricators. Maintain strict accountability for branch cash management, trade credit, and stock control. Supervise and mentor the branch team, including the stock controller and delivery driver. Oversee end-to-end stock processes, including receiving, inventory management, and dispatch logistics. Report directly to company directors on branch performance, revenue targets, and operational efficiency. Essential Requirements 15+ years of total work experience, with at least 5 years in a customer-facing role carrying direct accountability for cash or stock. Proven track record running a trade counter, branch, depot, or owning a small business within steel, glass and aluminium, building supply, hardware, plumbing, or electrical wholesale. Full professional bilingual proficiency in English and Afrikaans to effectively serve the local client base. Residence in the Vaal Triangle (non-commutable from Johannesburg). Willingness to work full-time on site, including rotating Saturday morning trade hours. Work Arrangement On site. Employment Type Permanent. Remuneration Basic Guaranteed Remuneration: R15,000 per month . Branch Performance Commission: Shared branch commission calculated on monthly sales turnover (uncapped earning potential). Earning Potential: Established branches (turning over R1m–R2m/month) yield total realistic earnings of R25,000 to R35,000 per month. A new branch earnings structure tracks business growth as turnover scales.
