Buyer Mentor, OH - Onsite $75K-$95K Base Salary + Bonus Summary Our client, a growing manufacturer in the industrial products space, is seeking a Buyer to purchase complex and technical materials, components, and services, including custom items built to rigid specifications. Reporting to the VP of Operations and working alongside the Materials Managers, you will manage the international supplier base, negotiate long-term agreements, and drive year-over-year cost reductions. Requirements Bachelor's degree Experience with procurement or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment Experience purchasing complex, technical, or custom-designed items to rigid specifications Experience managing international suppliers, open purchase orders, and inventory levels Experience negotiating long-term agreements (LTAs) with key vendors Track record of delivering documented cost savings Responsibilities Manage the international supplier base, including open purchase orders and inventory levels Drive year-over-year cost reductions through the supply chain Negotiate long-term agreements with key vendors Implement supply chain strategy, policies, and procedures Drive and track the annual offshore and outsourcing productivity target, partnering with sales and engineering to identify parts to outsource Drive and track purchasing savings annually Evaluate vendors and replace them as needed without disruption to the supply chain Manage complex delivery schedules and purchase quantities to meet extended organizational requirements Supervise and develop lower-level Buyers or Clerks as needed Conduct business in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations, with honesty and integrity Nice to Have Aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing experience Prior experience supervising buyers or purchasing staff
