Vice President of Operations

VP of Operations - Manufacturing Goldsboro, NC (Raleigh area) - Relocation Assistance Up to $200K base salary + Strong Bonus + ESOs Summary Our client, a growing manufacturer serving commercial aerospace and defense customers, is seeking an energetic, hands-on VP of Operations to lead manufacturing, supply chain, process engineering, and maintenance. Reporting to the President, this leader will re-energize the team, restore operational momentum, and build the foundation for the next phase of growth. This is a high-visibility role on the senior leadership team with a clear path for career advancement. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business 10 years of manufacturing operations experience, including 5+ years in leadership, preferably with multi-function oversight Hands-on track record improving on-time delivery, quality, productivity, and cost Demonstrated Lean and continuous improvement leadership Experience leading supply chain, production planning, and ERP-driven scheduling High-energy, visible leader who builds morale and accountability on the shop floor Willingness to travel approximately 20% Responsibilities Lead Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Supply Chain, and Maintenance with full accountability for operational results Set and execute the operations strategy as a member of the senior leadership team Drive on-time delivery, quality, and customer satisfaction in partnership with Quality and other functional leaders Lead Lean, safety, and productivity initiatives to maximize capacity, control overtime, and reduce scrap and rework Provide strategic direction for Supply Chain to support profit, delivery, quality, and compliance goals Build and administer operating and capital budgets for departments, equipment, facilities, and staffing Strengthen production scheduling and monitoring systems and leverage the ERP to reduce manual work Partner with EHS to maintain a safe, compliant work environment Develop direct reports, build succession, and foster a positive, engaged workforce culture Report operational performance and present business updates to leadership
