The Manager, Client Technology Staging is responsible for the technical ownership, configuration, and ongoing optimization of the applications and systems that support automated computer deployments, user onboarding, and user offboarding for the Abacus client base. This role serves as the technical subject- matter expert for the backend configurations that connect device management, identity, security, application deployment, and user lifecycle process. This position is client-facing in its impact and highly visible within the organization. It requires a high level of precision, strong communication skills, technical depth across Windows and Microsoft cloud, and a process-driven mindset. The ideal candidate is a technical leader who takes ownership, drives consistency, and continuously looks for opportunities to improve the reliability and
efficiency of the Abacus computer deployment and user lifecycle processes.
Responsibilities
Own the backend configuration and technical administration of applications and systems supporting computer deployments, user adds, and user removals.- Design, maintain, and optimize automated workflows for Windows and macOS computer builds and user lifecycle processes.
- Configure and maintain Microsoft Intune policies, applications, compliance policies, enrollment configurations, device configuration profiles, and automated enrollment processes.
- Configure and maintain Microsoft Entra configurations supporting device identity, authentication, access, application integrations, and device lifecycle
processes. - Configure and maintain Microsoft 365 configurations that impact user provisioning, licensing, applications, authentication, and device deployment.
- Manage Active Directory configurations related to computer builds and user lifecycle, including organizational units, security groups, group policies, computer objects, user accounts, and domain-related dependencies.
- Develop and maintain standardized deployment configurations and processes across multiple client environments.
- Troubleshoot failures within automated PC build and user lifecycle workflows, identifying root causes and implementing permanent solutions.
- Evaluate application and system dependencies to ensure changes do not negatively impact downstream deployment or user lifecycle processes.
- Establish configuration standards, technical documentation, and best practices for deployment and lifecycle platforms.
- Identify opportunities to improve automation, reduce manual effort, increase deployment consistency, and improve overall process reliability.
- Participate in the design and implementation of new tools, integrations, and automation that improve the PC build and user lifecycle experience.
- Monitor system health, deployment success rates, and recurring technical issues to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
